Don't have a spare few weeks to travel to Buenos Aires in Argentina? Then come to Buenos Aires in the Southern Highlands for a weekend!
BASH (Buenos Aires in the Southern Highlands) is held in Bundanoon in the NSW Southern Highlands each year (this is the third BASH). This year BASH will be held from Friday 20 - Sunday 22 November.
Bundanoon is halfway between Sydney and Canberra (1.5 hours) and right on the train line. BASH is a full weekend of tango, starting with a tango film and milonga on the Friday night, and ending with a 4-hour practica on the Sunday, with various milongas, practicas and other tango (and non-tango)-related activities in between.
BASH is co-presented by Tango Synergy Sydney and the Tango Social Club of Canberra. BASH features DJs from Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Nelson (NZ), as well as film-makers from Sydney and a tango band from Canberra, so wherever you live, join us to make this a truly national tango event!
One of the attractions of Bundanoon as a destination is that it's a very small town so it's a great place to get to know other tangueros both on and off the dance floor over coffee in the local cafe, at after-milonga parties by the fireside or with impromptu dances in the kitchen at breakfast-time....
