We invite you to the 2nd International Tango Festival in Montevideo.
From 12 to 15 of February 2009 you may enjoy a fantastic International Tango Festival in Montevideo city (Uruguay). With 30 classes (45 hours), four Milonga`s nights, orchestras, Djs, dance exhibitions, and three days of “Tango Beach”.
The classes will be given by teachers from Argentina and Uruguay in the 5 star Radisson Victoria Plaza Hotel (http://www.radisson.com.uy/). For Uruguay will be: Esteban Cortez & Evelyn Rivera, Moira Daloia & Sergio Rodriguez and Regina Chiappe & Martin Borteiro. For Argentina: Moira Castilian & Gastón Torelli, Claudia Rogowski & Matias Facio, Karina Colmeiro & Raul Maschiocchi
The festival ends on February 15. However, you can add it a complement called "Tango Beach", which will be held from 16 to 18 of February. Both events, festival and “Tango Beach”, are purchased separately. You can register for both or just one of them.
”Tango Beach” consists of 3 days of beach without timetables, in the beautiful Santa Rosa Fortin (at 45 km from Montevideo). All teachers and participants stay in the same place: socializing, admiring the beautiful scenery, playing sports, enjoying a delicious Creole grilled meat, mate and of course, tango.
The International 2009 Tango Festival in Montevideo has been declared from "cultural interes" by the Ministry of Education and Culture, from "tourist interest" by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport and from "municipal interest" by the municipality of Montevideo.
