This Saturday 31 July Moving from the ground: Why bother? How? and what to do with it?

This is the last of my Saturday classes at Webb Street (Matthew is coming back and will take up teaching his classes again!)

Workshop 2:30-4:00

Beginners class 4:00-5:00 pm.

Classes in August:

I've have received LOTS of feedback that I need to slow down in class and now that I have more time with you, I will. I will continue to teach technique THEMES rather than structures, but I'll spread each theme across a few weeks, so we'll have plenty of time to practice! In August, we'll spend two more weeks on led adornos, but from other movements since we already did adornos from forward ocho. And we'll continue with the crusada theme for the second part of august, learning the side step cross and enganche from several positions, with alternative exits.

Matthew y Arnika6 Saturdays from 7 August to 11 September, 22 Webb Street, Wellington
Beginners Tango: 6 Saturdays 4:00 - 5:00 PM
This is a course designed for people who want to get a taste of the enjoyment of dancing tango, to get you started on the right foot ;-) and to be well connected ;-) It is suitable for those of you who are either starting new or afresh with tango or who have been dancing for less than say 6 months. $70 for the course or $15 per class. The Practice session that overlaps the class is free for course participants.

Intermediate Tango: 5 Saturdays 2:30 - 4:00 PM (except August 21!),
This is a course designed for people who have danced tango before and will cover a wide range of skills to help make the dance most enjoyable. The emphasis is on understanding technique and principals that make the dance work for a variety of situations. $80 for course or $20 per class. The Practice session and Beginners course are free for course participants.

Practice Session: Every Saturday 4:30-7:00 PM
$8 unless you have done one of the courses that day. This is a relaxed practice space: a chance to reinforce what you have learnt; an essential stepping-stone between learning new things and using them instinctively in a dance. Ask questions, stop and start, or simply dance. People at all levels drop in and they will help if asked.
