Margarita

My name is Margarita and I am happy to be able to offer you my Spanish classes via the internet/Skype.

I live in Montevideo and often travel to Buenos Aires where I have tango friends and my favorite milongas. I am a teacher of literature, and have danced tango since 2001, but I grew up hearing my father singing tango lyrics.

The most important difference between my teaching and that of an ordinary Spanish course is that we will work with texts that represent tango culture. We’ll use dialogues, lyrics, short stories and the history of tango in a natural and dynamic way. You’ll learn the language without pressure, at your own rhythm and for your own amusement, while discovering more and more about tango.

Perhaps you know Jane Westaway from Wellington – she took classes with me in BA and would be happy to recommend me: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

And you can contact me to find out more: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Cost: US$20 for 45 minutes,

And your first class free!

Abrazos, Margarita.

Some of you may know Gyles who is from Auckland, who is amongst the people interviewed for this documentary...
